Press Release: Providence, RI. All Hail the Queens. The Queer Queens of Qomedy are returning to Syracuse Funny Bone Comedy Club on July 15th at 4:30 PM.
Producer and comedian Poppy Champlin, is bringing her royal court of comedians back to Syracuse with a hot lineup. Suzanne Westenhoefer is headlining this bill and is one of the country’s premiere stand-up comics. Suzanne's ground-breaking 25 year career includes being the first openly lesbian comedian on Letterman and the first openly lesbian comedian to have an HBO special - as well as appearances on Bravo, Logo and GSN and live performances across the US. Suzanne works mostly unscripted and is fearless, bold, unapologetic, and freaking hilarious.
Champlin is the host and ringleader for this comedy circus. She won the title of America’s Funniest Real Woman on the Joan Rivers show and has appeared on Oprah, Comedy Central, LOGO, Comics Unleashed, and can be seen on a Showtime special called Pride: The Gay and Lesbian Comedy Slam. Dre Cerbin, Queen #3 is a New York based comedian and has performed at the Women in Comedy Festival in Boston, and at the Finger Lakes Comedy Festival. She was a finalist at the Hudson Valley Funniest Person Contest at the Laugh it Up in Poughkeepsie. She was also a finalist at the Ladies of Laughter contest at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino, and regularly performs at the FunnyBone in Albany and Syracuse. Dre’s act focuses on being a fat, gender nonconforming, lesbian(ish), person and all the fun that entails.
The Queer Queens are thrilled to announce that CNY Pride is sponsoring the show and will be the recipient of some proceeds. This show is also sponsored by Sapphire Books, The Gem in lesbian publishing. Come to laugh, til you cry.

Poppy and her entourage venture to Virginia June 23rd and 24th.
From Showtime’s’ Pride the Gay and Lesbian Comedy Slam, Poppy Champlin has been knocking ‘em out with the funny for 25 years. Poppy is producing this two city tour that goes from Richmond, VA Funny
Bone Comedy Club and then to the Virginia Beach Funnybone. Headlining the tour is LGBTQ comedy favorite Vickie Shaw. Vickie is from Texas where she observes that, “The speed limit, is a suggestion.” A veteran comic who’s beautiful Southern style belies her sharp edged wit and hilarity, was part of Comedy Central’s flagship show Premium Blend and she has a one-hour comedy special on LOGO called “You Can Take The Girl Out of Texas.” Vickie is a regular on Olivia cruises as well as performing in P-Town. She is a mother and grandmother and says she “just happens to be a lesbian”. The third Queen to rule this stage is Jess Miller. Her Comedy style is infectious immediately. Jess placed in the top three of The Devil Cup Comedy Festival in NYC in 2016. She performs throughout New England in such venues as Foxwoods, The Comedy Connection and Caroline’s in New York City. Poppy is happy to be teaming up with Diversity Richmond and The LGBT Life Center and donating some proceeds from the shows to the centers. Sponsoring the show is Sapphire Books, the Gem in Lesbian publishing. In Virginia Beach, Julie Clark will be opening the show at 2:45 with her music.
Tickets are $25 for General admission and $40 for VIP, which includes preferred seating, a meet and greet with the comedians before the show. Showtimes 3:30 PM
